Q: Is there a cistern liner that the water is safe to drink straight from?
A: NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 is a certified food grade geomembrane liner made for cisterns and wells, as well as other human consumption safe products.
Q: How long does it take to prep the cistern for liner installation?
A: Your liner will arrive about 3 to 6 weeks, unless we need to rush for an emergency, after ordering. While you are waiting for your delivery you should be cleaning the area for possible repairs, emptying the cistern, ready to check equipment, purchasing supplies and getting prepared for clean water and no leaks. Once your liner is delivered it can be installed within hours if the repairs are complete and the cistern is empty and dry as possible. We have equipment to help with the dry and emptying is needed.
This is hard to answer. A new cistern can cost anywhere from $5.000 to $100.000. There are site prep costs with equipment, disposal of old cisterns, retrofits and more unseen obstacles we can't predict. If you have an existing cistern we can line it with geomembrane to seal leaks, prevent leaching and delete any toxicity from old cistern walls in a very short amount of time. It is also the environmentally friendly way to go to avoid more waste in the landfill and less disturbance of yards. Ask us for a quote today.
